The very first step to buy a home in the Atlanta area would be to contact
one of Atlanta Mortgage Loan Companies to get prequalified.
I encourgage my clients start the mortgage loan shopping at their current
bank. Most banks have mortgage loan departments and will be very happy to
help you prequalify for a loan.
After you get a quote form your bank, you can then try to contact some other
outside mortgage brokers to see if you can get a better deal.
Buyers are strongly advised to get at least 3 loan offers of the same type
to better compare the loans.
